The Let’s Count On Math™ K–1 Interactive Teaching Tool is designed primarily as a teacher-directed classroom resource that helps make early counting structures visible, meaningful, and engaging.


Display it on an interactive whiteboard or classroom screen to introduce number concepts, model mathematical thinking, encourage classroom discussion, and engage students in whole-class, small-group, or learning-centre activities. It is equally effective for intervention, review, and formative assessment.


Unlike many educational apps designed primarily for independent screen time, the Interactive Teaching Tool is intended to support direct teacher instruction. Teachers guide mathematical conversations by asking questions, encouraging predictions, discussing strategies, and helping students explain their thinking.


Students can also use the activities independently or in small groups. Immediate feedback, scoring, and review features make the tool useful for practice, formative assessment, and monitoring student understanding while helping teachers quickly identify concepts that may require additional instruction.


Rather than replacing hands-on learning, the Interactive Teaching Tool is designed to complement classroom manipulatives and teacher instruction. Throughout the activities, students are continually encouraged to think about two essential questions:

As students develop these habits of thinking, counting naturally grows into addition and subtraction, and counting groups grows into multiplication and division. The underlying structure remains the same, helping mathematics become more coherent, more meaningful, and easier to learn.
